The Rule of Five Strategy
This step incorporates the Rule of Five, a powerful strategy from Jack Canfield’s book, The Success Principles. Here’s how it works:
- Commit to taking five specific actions every day that contribute to your breakthrough or revenue goal.
- These actions can include follow-ups, outreach, or client check-ins.
- The focus is on consistency, discipline, and staying aligned with your purpose.
I’ve been using this principle in my own business since 2009, and I can confidently say it works. The Rule of Five helps maintain momentum and ensures you’re always progressing toward your goals.
How to Implement Daily Action in Your Business
1. Define Your Five Actions:
- What five steps can you take daily to bring you closer to your revenue goal?
- Examples include:
- Making five follow-up calls.
- Sending five prospecting emails.
- Reaching out to five potential media outlets.
- Tailor these actions to your specific breakthrough goal.
2. Stay Focused on Your Purpose:
- Your purpose, defined in Step 2, is your fuel.
- On days when motivation is low, let your purpose keep you moving forward.
3. Track Your Progress:
- Keep a log of your daily actions to ensure consistency.
- Review your progress regularly to celebrate wins and identify areas for improvement.
4. Implement a Follow-Up System:
- If your business lacks a follow-up process for inquiries or quotes, now is the time to create one.
- Consistent follow-up is a game-changer and can elevate your success dramatically.
