[Kajabi Tutorial 10] Just Do It – Using New Technologies

As a business success coach and founder of Ask Fleur, I’m no stranger to helping clients embrace change and take on new challenges. But even I’m not immune to procrastination when it comes to learning something new. This blog post is about tackling that hesitation head-on and diving into new technologies, specifically Kajabi’s Community feature.

Overcoming Procrastination with Technology
For months, I had been putting off fully exploring the Community feature in Kajabi. Not because it wasn’t useful, but because I was focusing on other aspects of the platform. Sound familiar? It’s easy to let new tools sit unused, especially when they’re outside our comfort zones.

Finally, I decided to take my own advice: "Just do it.” I committed to learning and using the Community feature, not just for my benefit but to create something valuable for my clients.

Introducing Weekly Accountability Check-Ins
My first project using Kajabi’s Community feature was a weekly accountability check-in. This is a live, online session where my clients can drop in to:
- Share their achievements for the week.
- Outline their goals for the next week.
- Gain real-time accountability and support.

This initiative is exclusively for members of the Ask Fleur Success Community, including one-to-one clients and annual subscribers. It’s designed to foster productivity, provide accountability, and create opportunities for collaboration.

A Win-Win for Everyone
During our very first session, something unexpected happened. Two clients connected during the check-in and ended up referring business to each other. This was a bonus I hadn’t anticipated, and it reinforced the power of bringing people together in a supportive community.

Lessons from Using Kajabi’s Community Feature
Learning to use Kajabi’s Community feature reminded me of a few key lessons about embracing technology:
1. Start Small: It doesn’t have to be perfect from day one. Begin with the basics and build from there.
2. Test and Adapt: During our first session, I encountered some technical hiccups due to internet issues. These moments are opportunities to learn and improve.
3. Experience as a User: I joined Kajabi’s own community to see how it works from a participant’s perspective. This gave me valuable insights into how to create a better experience for my clients.

Why “Just Do It” Matters
The hardest part of using new technology is often just starting. Once I committed to using the Community feature, I found it far less intimidating than I’d imagined. Now, I’m more confident in leveraging it to bring value to my clients.
