[Episode 34]: How I Sold My House in 7 Days: The Power of Clear Goals and the Right Support

When we think about goal-setting, we often associate it with business plans, career milestones, or fitness targets. But what if I told you that the same principles can help you sell a house in just seven days?
Recently, I found myself in the middle of a major life transition, wanting to sell my home to meet the conditions of a subject-to-sale offer. It could have been a stressful, drawn-out experience. Instead, it became a powerful reminder of how effective simple practices can be – when applied with intention.
What I'm talking about here is how to not only achieve but consistently exceed your goals and expectations.
1. Start with a Clear and Specific Vision of Your Goal
Before anything else, I got crystal clear on the outcome I wanted:
"I am so happy and grateful now that I have sold my house and met the conditions of my subject to sale offer."
It wasn’t vague. It wasn’t “hopefully it sells soon.” It was specific, time-bound, and emotionally resonant. That kind of clarity becomes an anchor when things don’t go to plan.
2. Expect (and Embrace) the Unexpected
No meaningful goal comes without its share of challenges. There were moments during the process where things didn’t go smoothly — unexpected delays, shifting timelines, people changing their minds. But because I had the end goal so firmly in mind, I could stay grounded and keep taking the next step. And having the ability to also let go of the outcome if needed.
3. Surround Yourself with the Right Professionals
This one is often overlooked. I didn’t do it alone. I built a support team of professionals around me — each one an expert in their area, each contributing to the outcome. This is the same principle I apply in business and in coaching: success is rarely a solo act.
Whether you're launching a new service, changing careers, or trying to get healthier — when you surround yourself with the right mentors, coaches, and peers, you move faster and with more confidence.
4. Apply These Principles Everywhere
What made this process so rewarding is how transferable it is. The same framework applies whether you're trying to:
- Land your next leadership role
- Grow your business
- Launch a new product
- Reignite your passion or sense of purpose
Simple doesn’t mean easy, but it does mean effective. These are the principles I use not only in my personal life but also in coaching clients to grow, stay accountable, and reach their next level.
If you’re ready to take your own goals seriously, the key is clarity, consistency, and community. Whether it’s through business coaching or mastermind support, when you commit and surround yourself with the right people, big results follow — sometimes in less than a week.
